Consign

HOW TO CONSIGN FURNITURE:

  • Email us a picture of the items you would like to consign to info@topdrawerconsignments.com.
  • Be sure to provide the manufacturer, (if known), or place of purchase.
  • Include the age and original purchase price if you have it as well as the condition of the item.
  • Upholstered pieces must be clean and free of smoke or pet odors, stains and tears and the cushions and springs need to be supportive.
  • Top Drawer will determine if your items can be sold in the store and will contact you on when they can be delivered.
  • We price at a fair market value that will realistically sell the item within the first 30 days.
  • We have no delivery/pick up service, but we do have local delivery companies with reasonable fees that many of our customers/consignors use.  They will quote over the phone and we will be happy to give out their names and phone numbers.

HOW TO CONSIGN ACCESSORIES:

  • Accessories do not require a picture.  All accessory items are to be brought in by appointment, Monday – Friday, (no Saturdays), between 10am – 4pm.
  • All items must be clean and free of dirt and nearly perfect condition, we cannot accept accessories that are missing parts, chipped, cracked or broken.
  • We will accept up to 20 items at a time, and all items must have a market value of at least $10.00.

CONSIGNMENT TERMS:

Top Drawer Consignments will price each piece of merchandise based on  brand name, condition, age, style and our experience as to what similar items have been selling for in our store.   After 30 days the original price will be reduced by 20%.  and after the first reduction, the price may be reduced at random intervals, by at least 10% – 30%.  The consignment period is 90 days.  At the end of this time, you can either pick them up within 7 days of expiration or we will be glad to donate to one of the charities that we support.

CONSIGNMENT PAYMENTS:

At Top Drawer Consignments, consignors receive 50% of the final selling price.  We will mail consignment checks on (or about) the 15th of the month for items sold in the previous month, providing the Consignor has a balance on their account of more than $25.  Management will charge a $1.00 check fee to process every check to cover administrative costs.  Consignor can spend any or all moneys due to them at any time at Top Drawer Consignments if a check has not been issued.
